Rosemary Whiting

Rosemary Whiting, 63, of Fairfield, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, in Waco. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at First United Methodist Church of Fairfield with Dr. Richard Heyduck officiating. Interment followed at Richland Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brandon Black, Brad Hicks, Richie Black, Jeremy Little, Dustin Lane and John Stone.

Rosemary was born Jan. 28, 1956, in Lubbock to parents Roy and Mary Black Whiting. She was raised in Lamesa and relocated to Fairfield in 1998. She worked for 18 years at Parkview Clinic in Mexia as a medical clerk. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield where she taught Sunday school for a number of years for the 3-year-old class. Rosemary was known for her “bear hugs” and her love for her baby cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Whiting, and stepfather, Glenn Scott.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Mary Scott of Fairfield; one uncle, Kenneth Black of Huntsville; and many cousins.
