Roland Brackens

Roland Brackens, 60, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at his residence. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at Capps Memorial Chapel followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.

Roland was born Oct. 16, 1961, in Fairfield to parents Laverne Henry Brackens and Connie Lee Brackens Sr. Roland was a 1981 graduate of Fairfield High School and a retired plumber. In addition to his grandparents and father he was preceded in death by two brothers, McClenon Brackens and Loftin Brackens; and a nephew, Michael Dwyane Johnson.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Laverne Brackens; two brothers, Freddie and Roy Lee Brackens, both of Fairfield; three sisters, Sherry Byrd and husband Curtis of Fairfield, Lillie Mays of Fairfield, Betsy Johnson of Fairfield; and a niece, Tanika Johnson.
