Robert T. (Bob) Fisher, 81, of Fairfield died Monday, October 9, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Skinner and Chaplain (Lieutenant Colonel – P) Gary Fisher, U.S. Army, officiating. Graveside services with military honors were held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Greenwood Memorial Park in Pineville, LA. Military honors provided by Barksdale A.F.B Honor Guard. Pallbearers were Shaun Shiery, Matt Shiery, Adam Shiery, Robby Fisher, Brandon Fisher, Jeremy Fisher, Jonathan Fisher, Andrew Fisher. Honorary bearers were Brian White and Patrick Fisher. Bob was born September 14, 1936 in Worcester, Massachusetts to parents Robert Roy and Jesse Thomson Fisher. Bob had been a Fairfield resident since 2007 moving from Louisiana. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and also retired from truck driving after 20 years. He and his wife Carolyn married on June 21, 2008. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Bob loved to drive around different Air Force bases and visit and talk with anyone. He loved his family very much. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Billie D. Fisher and a son, Larry Thomas Fisher. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Carolyn; four children, Debbie Fisher Shiery and husband Randy of Weimar, TX; Bobby Fisher and wife Valarie of Alexandria, LA; Ronny Fisher and wife Pat of Pineville, LA; Chaplain (Lieutenant Colonel – P) Gary Fisher, U.S. Army, and wife Carrisa of Round Rock, TX; His wife Carolyn’s children who he thought of as his own, Sharon Jonas Young of Fairfield; Linda Jonas Mullen and husband Marvin of Fairfield; Carol Ann Jonas Stanley and husband Andy of Beaumont, TX; Sandra Jonas Simpson and husband Eric of Dew; a brother, Irving Fisher and wife Nancy of Frederick, PA; grandchildren, Shaun Shiery, Matt Shiery, Adam Shiery, Robby Fisher, Brandon Fisher, Jeremy Fisher, Jonathan Fisher, Andrew Fisher, Patrick Fisher; Alyssa Fisher and Megan Fisher; Carolyn’s grandchildren, Sarah Mullen Woodard, Samuel Mullen, Kimberly White, Jennifer Bonner, Evan Simpson, Jeremiah Simpson; 8 great-great grandchildren.
