Graveside services for Phillip “Ray” Skinner, 67, were held on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 11:30 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague.

Visitation was held prior to the service at Bowers Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 11:10 a.m. A funeral procession left the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. and traveled to the cemetery for the graveside service Surrounded by love, Phillip “Ray” Skinner peacefully went to be with Jesus on Dec. 13, 2024.

Born as the baby of his family (by eight minutes) on Dec.15, 1956, Ray lived his life to the beat of his own drum. Some might say he was a little stubborn. He was a proud and loving father and Pawpaw. He was an excellent brother. He was a dedicated friend. He was

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Irene Skinner; as well as his beloved daughter, Jessica Ann Skinner.

Ray is survived by his two daughters and their families, Angela Hamrick and husband Dub and their children Braden Ray, Caylee, Evelynn, and Kynlee, and Amanda Rojas & husband Adrian & their children Semaya, Adalyn, Isaiah, and Noah.

Ray is also survived by his twin sister, Kay Mileur and husband Robert; his brothers, Dennis Skinner and wife Marsha, and Jimmy Mobley and wife Betty; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and even great-great-nieces and nephews.

We will all miss our father, PawPaw, brother, uncle, and dear friend Ray. Coffee won’t be the same without him.
