Nancie Anna English Pritchard

Nancie Anna English Pritchard was born Sept. 19, 1949 and went to be with the Lord Feb. 5, 2021, after a brief battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Nancie was born in Teague, but grew up on her family farm in nearby Dew community.

She was the youngest of four beautiful sisters. Jesus and music were the backbone of the English household.

Nancie and her sisters were known as the “English Sisters” and performed in various nearby venues including live radio broadcasts.

She graduated from Teague High School in 1968.

Nancie married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Randall Pritchard, Aug. 30, 1969.

They began their married life in College Station, and attended Texas A&M.

Randall studied engineering, and Nancie was a “Maggie”.

Randall and Nancie were always a team. Nancie attended school part time and worked a full-time job to put Randall through school. Her love of Aggieland continued the rest of her life.

The Pritchard Family truly bleeds maroon.

After Randall graduated, he took a job with TXU and he and Nancie lived in Henderson, Mount Pleasant, and Granbury before settling in Tyler in 1979.

It was then they joined Green Acres Baptist Church, where they have been faithful members for 42 years.

Nancie finished her accounting degree at UT Tyler, while raising her two young daughters.

She worked for a CPA firm in public accounting and TCA Cable/Cox Communication as an Accounting Supervisor.

Nancie’s dazzling intellect and sweet spirit earned her many lifelong friends at work.

Even with Nancie’s successful career, she was always a devoted mother and wife.

She taught her daughters to be independent, hardworking, well rounded, kind, grateful, to speak their mind, and to live for Jesus.

She and Randall modeled a Christian marriage, and their unshaking devotion and commitment to each other was simply a miracle.

Nancie retired in 2004 and enjoyed traveling the world, spending time with her tennis group, being involved with her Sunday School class, and enjoying her family…especially her precious granddaughters.

She loved to serve others and volunteered her many talents to organizations like Womanary and Christian Women’s Job Corps.

Nancie had the spiritual gift of prayer and spent time every day praying for others. Her faith was her highest priority, and it was evident in everything she did on this Earth.

We know there was a great celebration in heaven when she arrived home.

Nancie’s parents Virginia and Arlen English were waiting on her arrival in heaven.

Nancie was always a gracious hostess, so she will be there with open arms to meet her friends and family when God calls them home.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Bowers, Mike Mahurin, Wayne Pritchard, Dan Pritchard, David Riddle, Doug Hunsley, Mickey Hendon, Chuck Gandillon, Guy Martin, Ken Beazley and Mark Adame.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20 at 12 p.m. at Green Acres Baptist Church Chapel in Tyler with Dr. Jimmy Dale Pritchard officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the Parlor at Green Acres Baptist Church Chapel under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
