MIKE RUTHERFORD

Mike Rutherford, 61, passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, near Fairfield.

Visitation will take place Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.

Mike grew up in Teague and graduated from Teague High School with the class of 1978.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator all of his working life.

Mike was raised by his grandparents, W. I. and Ruth Rutherford, and grew up learning to hunt and fish with his grandpa.

He never lost his love for the outdoors and hunting and fishing.

Mike also enjoyed tinkering with anything mechanical and spent hours working on various things.

He is survived by his wife, Toni Rutherford of Teague; three grandchildren, Sage Sanders of Magnolia, Christopher Bolton of Nebraska, and Payton Bolton of Huntsville; his brother, Vic Rutherford of Fairfield; numerous cousins and friends.

Mr. Rutherford was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Ray Rutherford; and his grandparents, W. I. & Ruth Rutherford.
