Services for Melvin Mims will take place at First Baptist Church in Teague Friday, Dec. 4, at 11a.m.
Visitation will take place at Pearly Gates Funeral Home in Mexia Thursday, Dec. 3, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Mims had served as a city aldermen as well as a member of the Teague Volunteer Fire Department in years past.
