Marvin L. Munden

Funeral services for Marvin L. Munden, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Zack Birkner will officiate.

Interment will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec.2, at 9 a.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Visitation will be held on Friday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Munden passed away on Tuesday, Nove. 26, 2019, at his residence in Teague.

He was born in New Hall, Calif., but moved around to numerous locations with his family as a child, mostly growing up in Texas. Mr. Munden was proud to be a veteran and of his service in the U.S. Army. Marvin married Leveda on Sept.14, 1961, and shared more than 55 years of marriage together before being separated by her death Feb. 17, 2017. Mr. Munden lived in Teague for more than 33 years and worked for Leon’s Garage for 16 years. He loved his family very much and always hoped to put a smile on everyone’s face. Mr. Munden was a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ.

He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Munden of Teague and Kimberly Miers and husband B.L. of San Antonio; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Cheeks, April Davis, Marvin Brown, Johnlee Miers and wife Bridell, SSG. Justin Miers, Joel Miers and Jackson Miers; four great-grandchildren, Holly Hoback, Calieb Mims, Elena Davis and Kaylynn; and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Munden was preceded by his wife, Leveda Munden.
