MARGARET MCADAMS

Margaret McAdams passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Teague Nursing Home. A memorial service will be announced at a later time.

Margaret McAdams was born on September 23, 1927 in Wortham to parents Thomas Carroll & Addie Lois Ballard. She was the third of fifteen children. Margaret grew up in Jacksonville and graduated from Jacksonville High School. Ms. McAdams attended Lon Morris College for one year before she married Horace Lee McAdams on July 24, 1948. They lived in Clute for many years before moving to Simsboro. After the passing of her husband, Ms. McAdams moved to West Columbia to live with her daughter, Dolores, where she lived for 25 years before returning to Teague. All of her life she was dedicated to taking care of her family and other children. McAdams enjoyed reading.

She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Conkling & husband Carl, and Dolores Martin & husband Steve; three grandchildren, Eric Martin & wife Karla, Amy Martin Davenport & husband Joshua, and Emily Martin; seven great-grandchildren, Eva Martin, Colin Davenport, Jocelyn Davenport, Patience Davenport, Tambre Davenport, Jeremiah Davenport and Owen Davenport; nine siblings; numerous other relatives and friends.

Ms. McAdams was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Lee McAdams; her parents; three sisters; and two younger brothers.
