Lynda Knight Benton

Memorial services for Lynda Knight Benton, 76, of Teague, will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Tabernacle at Antioch Cemetery in the Luna Community. Pastor Spain Trask will officiate. Ms. Benton passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017, at Providence Hospice Place in Waco, Texas. Lynda was born December 5, 1940, in Teague, Texas to Kimble and Robbie Knight. She grew up in Luna, Texas and was a 1959 graduate of Teague High School. After high school, Lynda moved to Houston. She married Kenneth Fulton and they were parents of two children, Terri and Gregg. Lynda worked as a secretary for several oil companies including Shell Oil Co. and Amoco. Later, she moved back to Teague and continued her education through Navarro College to become an LVN. She eventually retired from the Mexia State School. Lynda is survived by her daughter, Terri Fulton McAdams, and husband David; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Fulton Townsend; grandchildren, Tyler Brown and wife Jordan, Andrew Collins, Caitlyn Collins, Shane Fulton and wife Arely, Brooke Fulton and Michael Fulton; brother, Elwood Knight and wife Sandy; nephew, Clint Knight and wife Lara; niece, Carey Golden; great nieces, Katy Fiorello, Ashley Fiorello and Emily Knight. Lynda was preceded in death by her son, Gregg Fulton, and her parents, Kimble and Robbie Knight. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Providence Hospice Place, 300 W.
