Lois Lee

Funeral services for Lois Lee, 90, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Interment will follow the service at Lost Prairie Cemetery in Limestone County.

Visitation will be held on Saturday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lee passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, at Providence Hospice Place in Waco.

She was born at home in rural Limestone County on May 3, 1929, to Gordon and Bert Massey. She married Bill Lee on April 13, 1946, and shared more than 36 years of marriage together before being separated by his death on Aug. 1, 1982. Mrs. Lee worked for the Mexia State School for more than 10 years until her retirement. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by three sons, Donald Wayne Lee and wife Vernell of Teague, Kenneth Lee of Dew, and Ronnie Lee and wife Honey of Hewitt; 11 grandchildren, Corena Lee, Belinda Holliman and husband Frank, Bubba Lee and wife Teri, Tony Lee and wife Sandra, Melanie Richard and husband Danny, Tiffany Williamson and husband Charlie, Tara Jones and husband Justin, Lauren Rayborn and husband Austin, Matt Lee and wife Allison, Morgan Salas and husband Luca, and Handell Marcos; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Carlene Yawn of Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, W.M. (Bill) Lee Sr.; one son, Billy Lee; her parents; two sisters; and one brother.
