Larry Solley

Funeral services for Larry Solley, 64, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. The Rev. Richard Gillet will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday, beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Solley passed away on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at Baylor-Scott & White-Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco.

He was born in Teague on Dec. 27, 1954. Larry moved to Fort Worth as a child, but returned to Teague and attended Teague High School. He lived in Bremond for many years and worked as a powder man in the oil-and-gas field for more than 20 years. Larry married Sharon on Jan. 27, 1978, and shared more than 41 years of marriage together. Mr. Solley enjoyed spending time with his family and loved John Wayne and all Westerns. He always had a joke and loved making people smile. Larry was a friend to many and will be missed.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Solley of Bremond; three daughters, Stacy Estes and husband Johnny of Lubbock, Leanne Solley, and Krystle O’Daniel and husband Billy, all of Bremond; one son, Logan Solley of Bremond; eight grandchildren, Christan Cobb, Camryn Cobb, Hannah Childers, Logan Solley Jr., Chance Solley, Travis Solley, Mia Solley and Landree Kramer; two great-grandchildren, Analise Sepeda, and Cooper Ward; three brothers, Earl Solley and wife Doris of Cotton Gin, Roger Solley and wife Joyce of Fairfield, and Danny Solley of Mexia; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mr. Solley was preceded in death by his mother, Vergie Caffey; his father, Ludy Solley; and three sisters, Linda Solley, Sandra Solley and Lori Ann Solley.
