Graveside services for Kennith Kyle Anderson was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 26 at the Cotton Gin Cemetery. Bro. Paul Pryor officiated. There was no visitation. Anderson passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018, at Mexia LTC Nursing & Rehab in Mexia. He was born and raised in Bardwell to Porter Cleveland and Eula Mae Dandridge Anderson. He married Hazel Loudean Sheets on Feb. 4, 1951 and shared over sixty- seven years of marriage together. After he graduated from Bardwell High School he went to work for Ennis Business Forms for a number of years and from there went to work at the Ford manufacturing plant. In 1957, Kennith joined the Dallas Police Department and was a member for over 26 years. He was a dedicated officer and friend to all he met and he loved his job. After retirement he worked for Walsh Security for 10 years. Kennith loved his pets, gardening and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Anderson of Simsboro; two daughters, Kathy Crawley and husband Willie of Cotton Gin, Beverly Hoffmann of Ennis; eight grandchildren, Kent Crawley and wife Minnie of Buffalo, Allyson Keenum and husband David of Mexia, Michelle Rogers and husband Lehman of Kemp, Melanie Smith and husband Jamie of Forney, Cookie Denise Hoffmann of Ennis, Christian Hoffmann and Donovan Hoffmann of Ennis, Brandi Mills of Emhouse; seven great-grandchildren, Layni Keenum, Austin Few, Brittany Few, Michael Few, Lyndzey Smith, Micah Smith and Kyra Hatley. Anderson is preceded in death by one son, Ricky Dean Anderson; parents, Porter and Eula Anderson; and mother-in-law, Ida Mae Sheets.
