Kathryn C. (Kathy) Jones, 59, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017, in Waco. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Capps Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Skinner officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Cemetery. Kathy was born May 6, 1958 in Galveston, Texas to parents James Roland and Rachel Inez Knight Simmons. She had been a Fairfield resident since 1980 having moved from League City, Texas. She married Clifford Jones on December 31, 1986 in Fairfield. Kathy’s greatest love was her grandkids and great-grandkids. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Clifford; four children, Tammi Lucher and husband Timm of Fairfield; Curtis Jones of Fairfield; Michial Barnum of Moody and Misty Smith of Fairfield; one brother, Rocky Simmons and wife Cathy of Pearland; two sisters, Ruthie Fitzpatrick and husband James of Houston; Becky Simmons of Grapeland; 11 grandchildren, Andy Traylor, Megan DeFrance, Kati Baker, Sarah Burkhalter, Cliffton Jones, Jacey Jones, Krista Barnum, Nathan Barnum, Austin Smith; Anniston Smith and Axel Smith. 10 great-grandchildren.
