Karen Norton Nobles

Funeral services for Jeanie Karen Norton Nobles, 62, took place Sunday, Dec. 9 at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Interment followed at Dew Cemetery in Dew.

Visitation was Saturday, Dec. 8 with the family present at the funeral home.

Ms. Nobles passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018 at Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.  

Karen was born in Teague Aug. 14, 1956 to parents William and Beth Norton. She graduated with the Class of 1974 from Teague High School. Ms. Noble worked at the State School in Brenham for 22 years.

She lived in Washington for the past 5 years. Karen worked as a clerk at several convenience stores in the area.

She loved animals, especially horses and cats.

Ms. Nobles was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Navasota.

She is survived by three sons, Jeremy W. Nobles and wife Lisa of Washington, Jason Nobles of Navasota, and William Lee Nobles and wife Jacklyn of Navasota; four grandchildren, Rafe Nobles, Brayden Blaze Nobles, Jasper Lee Nobles, and Marleigh Rayne Nobles; her mother, Beth Nobles of Teague; one sister, Jo Ann Rieves of Teague; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ms. Nobles was preceded in death by her father, William Norton; and her twin sister, Kay Gray.
