Joyce Faye York Watson

Joyce Faye York Watson, 86, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, July 2, 2019. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 4 at Capps Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ed Ridge officiating. Interment followed at Stewards Mill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lloyd Lane, Eddie Shultz, Tom Bonner, Lawson Lane, Colby Olivarez, Tristan Davis and Sutton Bonner. Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Billings, John Watson, John Ross Pye, Billie Hugh Bonner, Frank Bonner, Jessie Earl Jones, Tony Hilton, Michael Morrison and A. G. (Abo) Schwarzer.

Mrs. Watson was born August 4, 1932 in Fairfield to parents William Leonard York and Mabel Sue Carroll York. In addition to her parents her husband Marvin Watson; one brother, Herman Lee York; one sister, Ann York Young and a nephew, Dr. Charles Herman York, preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are nieces and nephews, Patricia York Hilton (Tony) of Dew Community; Stephanie York Hughes (Dirk) of White Oak; Nancy Watson of Katy; Sarah Wren (Joe) of Stewards Mill; Billie Hugh Bonner of Stewards Mill; Frank Bonner (Alice) of Fairfield; Rick Morris of Broken Bow, Okla; two brothers-in-law, Jimmie Ross Young of Streetman; John Watson of Katy; many great-nieces and great-nephews.
