Jonnie Kate McCoslin Morgan passed away Oct. 4, 2018 at her home in Donie at the age of 84. Graveside services took place Sunday, Oct. 7, at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Donie. Jonnie was born March 2, 1934 in Teague to Waymon T. and Elvis Walker McCoslin. After graduating from Jefferson Davis High School, she attended the University of Houston. She married Donald Roy Morgan July 23, 1955 in Rosenberg and they were blessed with three children, Mark, Wade and Melissa. Jonnie’s working career consisted of several years with both Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and the Donie Bank, prior to opening her own antique shop, “Cora’s Granddaughters,” in Jewett. Jonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed nothing more than cooking for her family on holidays and special occasions. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Morgan, grandson, Brandon Turner, parents, Waymon and Elvis McCoslin; sister, Jo Ann McCoslin Oakes and husband, Wesley; brothers, Waymon and Michael Mc- Coslin; nephews, Josh Nanny and Kurt McCoslin. Jonnie is survived by her children, Mark and Patty Morgan of Ft. Worth, Wade and Laurie Morgan of Conroe and Melissa Morgan of Donie; grandchildren, Matt Morgan, Brittany Morgan, Jace Morgan, Ty Rawls and Dylan and Tina Cochrum; great grandchildren, Landon Turner, Adalynn Kate Morgan, Mabry Morgan, Caleb Morgan and Harper Cochrum; sisters, Cathy McCoslin Nanny and husband, Joe Ed of Bryan and April McCoslin of Bremond; sister-in-law, Emma McCoslin of Spring and numerous nephews, nieces and sweet friends. Visit blair-stubbs.com to sign the guest book a message of condolence.
