Joan Cagle

Joan Cagle, born June 30, 1945 went to be with the Lord April 20, 2018 at the age of 73. Cagle is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John Cagle, and daughters Angela and Jeanette. Joan has seven grandchildren: Zachary, Matthew, Sarah, Kristen, Stephanie, Shannon, Jeremy, and seven great-grandchildren: Willow, Nova, Keziah, Gemma, Keren, Hannah, Rhea. Joan is also survived by her brother, Jack and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a long time member of Kirby Baptist Church, and loved by her community. Joan will be missed greatly. A visitation was held Tuesday, April 24 at Colonial Funeral Home, Universal City from 5 - 8 p.m. Celebration of Life/Funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 25 at Kirby Baptist Church. Interment will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:15 a.m. on May 7 at Shelter 2. Pall bearers include: Zachary Long, Matthew Long, Anthony Everts, Tony Everts, Jared Caballero, Jeremy Donley, Jerry Pais and Honorary: Tony Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donation be made in Joan’s name to Kirby Baptist Church or to the Breast Cancer Society.
