Jimmie Lee Love
Jimmie Lee Love, 83, of Fairfield, passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 in Fairfield. Funeral services took place 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at Capps Memorial Chapel with Bro. Don Suits, II and Mr. Jim Dixon officiating.
Interment followed at Fairfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chad Hagen, Matt Merritt, Brad Merritt, Bill Green, Donald Mullen and Clint Merritt. Honorary bearers were Lynn Love, Leon Love, Dennis Love, Doug Love, Ronnie Rounds and Abo Schwarzer.
Mr. Love was born January 8, 1936 in Round Rock to parents Clyde and Carrie Bingham Love. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Jimmie moved to Fairfield in 1971 from Rockdale.
He married Joyce Thompson February 5, 2010. He was a maintenance superintendent at Big Brown Mine and retired after 32 years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Love in 2008; two sisters, Bobbye Jones and Florene Acord; and an infant brother.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Joyce of Fairfield; a daughter, Jennifer Class and husband Elliott of Plano; three step-children, David Sowers and wife Carol of Brenham; Kathy Oetken and husband Tim of New Braunfels; Linda Friedel and husband David of Katy; two grandchildren, Sara Class and Daniel Class; seven step-grandchildren, Brittney Carrier, Kaci Hayre, Darrin Krebs, Jason Terry, Monica Rehwaldt, Brian Friedel and Shannon Moore; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dennis Love of Belton; Leon Love of Buckholts; Lynn Love also of Buckholts; five sisters, Nancy Bales of Devine; Dottie Stevenson of Lakeway; Elaine Merritt of Thorndale; Susie Dixon of College Station, TX; Judi Kruse of Rockdale.
