Jetty was born on July 3, 1936, in Finley, Dyer County, Tenn., to Herbert and Thema Weaver.
She had three siblings, two brothers and one sister. Jetty met and fell in love with James Barrentine Sr., the love of her life, and they married on June 28, 1953. James left for the Navy and was in the Korean war and on his return, they made their home in Cleveland, Miss., where they raised their four children.
They moved to College Station in 1986 and then to Teague in May 2001 after her retirement from management of apartment complexes in College Station.
They moved to Teague to be closer to their children and grandchildren where she could enjoy all of the family gatherings and being around all of her family. She loved a casino almost more than anything. She was known for her huge family breakfast where she made homemade biscuits for sometimes 30 people. She did not want anyone to go home hungry. She was a shopper for purses and shoes especially. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star from September 1977 until her death.
