Funeral services for Kay Gray, 61, was held on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 1:00p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Rev. Richard Gillet will officiate. Interment followed the services at Antioch Cemetery in the Luna Community. Visitation was held on Thursday with the family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m. Janie Kay Gray was born on August 14, 1956, in Teague, Texas. She passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Kay was born in Teague and grew up in Donie, Texas. She was a graduate of Teague High School Class of 1974. Ms. Gray worked at the Mexia State School about 25 years and at the same time worked at Walmart in Mexia for about 20 years. She was also a medical aid at the McGee Nursing Home in Teague. Kay loved a lot of people and a lot of people loved her. Ms. Gray was Methodist by faith. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Webb & husband Tim of Teague; two grandsons, T.J. Webb & fiancée Haley Cooley, and Leroy Webb all of Teague; her mother, Beth Norton of Teague; sister, Jo Ann Rieves of Teague; twin sister, Karen Nobles of Old Washington, Texas; and mother-in-law, Jene Solley of Teague. Numerous nieces and nephews. Ms. Gray was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gray; and her father, William Norton.
