Jane Traynham passed away on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at the Teague Nursing Home. Graveside services for Traynham were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 20, at Cotton Gin Cemetery. Bro. Scott Matthews officiated. Visitation was held on Friday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. She was born in Teague on Oct. 6, 1926, and graduated from Teague High School with the class of 1944. She married Dan Traynham in 1946 and shared over fifty- seven years of marriage together until being separated by his death in 2004. Traynham was a dedicated homemaker and spent countless hours cooking and sewing clothes for her children and even sewing clothes for her daughter’s dolls. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed making frequent visits to the Teague Public Library. Traynham was a member of First Baptist Church in Teague. She is survived by two daughters, Sue Allison and husband Bill and Dana Mc- Combs and husband Jerry, all of Teague; three grandchildren, Michael Harris and wife Veronica, Vicky Collins and husband John, and Tony Vaughn and wife Tabitha; three step-grandchildren, Todd Allison, Rachel Anderson and husband Doug, Matt Allison; six great-grandchildren, Zak Harris and wife Alyssa, Hayley Harris, Chloe Cearley, Aubrey Cearley, David Vaughn, and Kynlee Vaughn; eight step-great-grandchildren, Kade Collins, Kall Collins, Kai Collins, Wade Taylor, Will Allison and wife Madison, Wayland Allison, Hannah Anderson, and Caleb Anderson; one great-greatgrandson, Rustin Harris; one sister-in-law, Shirley Hartley of Pasadena; one brotherin- law, Billy McSpadden of Teague; other relatives and friends. Traynham was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Traynham; two sisters, Evelyn Hunt and Marie Mc- Spadden; two brothers, James Edward “Buddy” Hartley, Jr., and Joe C. Hartley; and one great-grandson, Matthew Harris.
