GEORGE WILLIAM WRIGHT III

George William Wright III, 34, of Lanley, passed away May 29 at Providence in Waco. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at Corinth Baptist Church in Dew.

William was born July 10, 1986, in Dallas, to George William Wright Jr. and Martina Martinez.

William grew up in Freestone County with two younger siblings. He is a Teague High School graduate, Class of 2005. William loved to play football and lift weights in powerlifting. After high school he worked with his father and grandfather digging swimmings pools for a few years for a family business. After that he went to work for a very close friend in Teague for more than 10 years. He loved to spend time with his buddies on the weekends, as well he loved to go to his grandpa’s and help him with the farm. He loved to smoke meat on the BBQ pit and did a fantastic job. He loved doing this with his buddies and family. Many will remember William by his laugh, his smile and his love for HOT HOT food!

William is preceded in death by his mother, Martina Martinez; a sister, Brittany Wright; grandparents, Al Lewis and Ann Lewis, George William Wright Sr. and Fayma June Wright, and Edna Riggs; and an aunt, Susie Lewis.

William is survived by his father, George William Wright Jr. and Tammy Wright; brother, Scooter Wright; sister, Nikki Wright; niece, Arayley Kay Wright, all of Lanley. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles and very close friends.
