Funeral services for Floyce Eppes were held on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. The Reverend Richard Gillet offi ciated. Interment followed the services at Union Cemetery near Freestone. Visitation was held on Tuesday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Eppes passed away on Saturday Jan. 6, 2018, at the Teague Nursing Home. She was born in Personville, but grew up in Donie and graduated from the Donie High School. Eppes was a dedicated homemaker and mother to her three sons. She worked for several years for Teague Independent School District in the school library and as an assistant mom for the Mexia State School. She also volunteered at the Senior Citizen’s Center in Teague for several years. Eppes was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by three sons, Leonard Eppes Jr., and wife Susie of Teague, Gerald Eppes of Freestone, and Dennis Eppes and wife Marilu of Teague; seven grandchildren, Stacey Coulter and husband Kevin, Steven Eppes, Erin Eppes, Brandy Eppes, Heather Ellis and husband Chris, Jennifer Eppes, Shawn Morse and wife Janie; eleven great-grandchildren, Callie Jolley and husband Garrett, Casey Duke and husband Dylan, Kevin Coulter and wife Jenna, Christian Coulter, Barrett Maggard, Blake Maggard, Aiden Waybright, Mason Ellis, Alexis Gonzales, Dominic Gonzales, and Max Gonzales; one great-great-grandchild, Hal Duke; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Eppes was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Eppes Sr.; and three brothers, Quitman Hyden, Blake Hyden, and Jack Hyden. The family requests memorials be made to Wishes For Warriors, 2881 S.
