Funeral services for Eloise Freeman Moseley, 80, took place Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield. Bro. Terry Skinner will officiate. Interment followed the services at Fairfield Cemetery. Eloise passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at the Fairfield Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born in Teague Oct. 15, 1937, to P. M. and Vera Mae Winfrey. Eloise grew up in Teague and graduated from Teague High School with the class of 1956. She was married to Curtis Bryan Freeman from June 2, 1961 until his passing May 6, 1995; they shared over 33 years of marriage together. Eloise was a bookkeeper for Aycock Motor Sales prior to opening Freeman’s Flowers in Fairfield. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, worked in church ministries, oversaw the kitchen for several years, WMA, vacation bible school, and the flower committee at the church. Eloise lived in Fairfield almost all of her life. She was a member of the Dew Girls Birthday Club; loved cooking and taking trips. Eloise went to many horse shows with her daughter; and travelled in motor home with Mr. Freeman. Her son, Leslie, wore her out taking trips after her husband passed away. She loved the color purple and burgundy’s. Eloise married Billy Ray Moseley on Nov. 29, 2007, whom she had known from her Teague High School days. Those who knew her well, knew her as MeMe. Eloise is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Moseley of Fairfield; one son, Leslie Freeman of Fairfield; one daughter, Pam Chavers and husband Adam and their children Amy Willard and her husband D. J. of Fairfield, Dillon Smith of Manhattan, NY, Rachel Chavers and Jacob Chavers, of Fairfield; one great-granddaughter, Makenzi Pink Willard of Fairfield; one great-grandson, Curtis Brandtly McDonald of Fairfield; two stepchildren, Beth Kaltenberger and husband David and their children, and Joe Moseley and wife Irela and their children; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her husband, Curtis Bryan Freeman; her parents, Vera Mae Lyles and P. M. Winfrey; her stepfather, Pete Jett; and one brother, Phillip Ray Winfrey, preceded her in death.
