Elizabeth Ann Comer

Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Comer, 90, took place Monday, Dec. 10 at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague.

Visitation was Sunday, Dec. 9 with the family present at the funeral home.

Ms. Comer was born Oct. 19, 1928 in Teague. She lived in Malakoff for over 40 years where she worked as a nurse’s aide at Cedar Lake Nursing Home and later in Childress. She loved to cook and care for her children and grandchildren. Ms. Comer was also a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Freestone.

She is survived by five children, Everett Dickens of Childress, Sandy Ward of Madisonville, Sally Box and husband Ricky of McKinney, Vickey Rampy and husband Robert of Childress, and Richard Comer of Longview; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Billy Mac Comer, Sr.; one son, Billy Mac Comer, Jr.; one daughter, Teala Comer; her parents, Garey and Elizabeth Gay; and one brother, Garey Gay, Jr, preceded her in death.
