Dwayne Brooks

Dwayne Brooks, 41, was found to be deceased on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at his residence in Teague. A memorial service will be held at a future date. He was born in Roswell, New Mexico, on February 17, 1976, but moved with his family at an early age to Freestone County. He grew up in Dew and Teague. Dwayne completed his truck driving certifi cation in Tyler and worked as a long haul truck driver for several years. He enjoyed hunting and fi shing. He is survived by one sister, Tricia Richey & husband Brent of Teague; three nieces, Lacie CasauBon of Palestine, Mollie Taylor & husband Curtis of Corpus Christi, and Courtney Harris & husband Joe of Crockett; one nephew, Cooper Richey of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; his “Aunt in love”, Wanda Rogers of Carlsbad, New Mexico; and numerous cousins. Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, Dee & Cindy Brooks; his grandmother, Lucille Chilton; his uncle, Doug Stonecipher; and his aunt, Wanda Phillips.
