DIANNE HARTLESS MCALPINE

Funeral services for Dianne Hartless McAlpine, 64, were held on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.

Visitation was held on Saturday with the family present from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. McAlpine passed away on Sept. 27 in Flagstaff, Arizona.

She was born in Teague on Oct. 8, 1955, and lived in Teague all of her life. She married Robert Lee McAlpine on July 25, 1971, and shared over forty-five years of marriage together before being separated by his death on March 11, 2017. Dianne worked as an EMT for the Teague Hospital District ambulance service for many years. She also worked as a private caretaker and used her skills to care for her parents in their later years. Mrs. McAlpine was a dedicated housewife and homemaker for her family. She spent countless hours traveling to watch her children and grandchildren participate in sporting events and rodeos. Dianne also enjoyed creating arts and crafts and painting. She was a member of the Lanely Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Robert McAlpine & wife Stacy of Teague; two daughters, Nichole Lummus & husband Randy of Teague, and Jennifer Casteel of Saginaw; son-inlaw, Robert Casteel of Azle; eleven grandchildren, Kyler McAlpine, Aidan McAlpine, Savannah Bean, Amanda Sherrod, Aaron Sisk, Kelsie Maggard & husband Jordan, Kenley Lummus, Hayden Lummus, Kaylie Casteel, Robert John Casteel, and Caden Casteel; eight great-grandchildren, Hunter Sherrod, Preston Sherrod, Braeden Sherrod, Danielle Sherrod, Eva Hayes, Ava Hayes, Lyssa Sisk, and Hadleigh Maggard; one sister, Marcia Dunnahoe of Teague; two brothers, Marvin Hartless & wife Delores of Dew, and Mart Hartless & husband Joe Roark of Teague; numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. McAlpine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee McAlpine; and her parents, Ruben & Nona Faye Hartless.
