Christy Ann Jackson, 61, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend was welcomed by numerous loved ones into her heavenly home on Nov. 1, 2018. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, at Calvary Baptist Church with the Reverend Marcus Sheffield and Rev. Shane Norcross officiating. Interment followed in the Forest Glade Cemetery. Lance Jackson, Keith Jackson, Scott Mack, Bill Ward, “Little” Jimmy Owens, and Roy Owens served as pallbearers. Visitation with the family was from 4-6 p.m., Saturday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Christy was born on April 20, 1957 in Fort Worth to Louise and David Mc- Clurkan. She was a forever Black Cat, class of ‘75 and graduated from Tarrant County Junior College with an associate degree in horticulture. Her first job was at Maden’s Flowers. On June 4, 1977 she married the love of her life, Ivan Jackson Jr. Together, they helped manage White’s Auto with Ivan Sr. and Dolly Jackson progressing to travel galore buying products for them, Western Auto, and later grew as one of the town’s leading retailers known as Jackson’s True Value. Christy never met a stranger and always took the time to visit with any one she encountered. Her full life led her to many civic associations, Ducks Unlimited, and many causes to help people. One of her greatest pleasures was digging in the dirt. She planted plants and flowers all along “Jackson Row” in Forest Glade. Another great part of her life was her beloved son, Lance, and every bit of his growing life. Treasured beyond measure, was her daughter-inlaw Stephanie and grandson, Fletch. Christy and Ivan’s fun time was staying at their lodge with co-owner, Scott Mack, in Tin Cup, Colorado. Together they built, remodeled, painted, and greeted many guests, both friends and relatives. She loved the sun rise and sun sets and visiting into the wee hours. Fishing was a great joy. She was also known for her beautiful smile and big “wiggle-wiggle” hugs. She never failed to say, “I love you” or “Hi Darlin’”. Christy lived her life with an adventurous heart and forever a joyful spirit. Christy was proceeded in death by her father David McClurkan and father-inlaw Ivan Jackson Sr. Christy is survived by her husband, Ivan Jackson Jr.; son Lance Jackson and wife Stephanie, grandson Elliott Fletcher Jackson; mother Louise McClurkan McMains; mother-in-law Dolly Jackson; twin sister Cindy Williford and husband Glenn; nieces Lou Ann Williford-Rowland and husband Chris, Jean Williford, and Katy Cannon and husband Luke; brother-inlaw Steve Jackson and wife Kathy; step-brothers Jimmy McMains and Mike Mc- Mains; and many nieces and nephews.
