Charles V. Kimble

Funeral services for Bro. Charles V. Kimble, 80, were held on Monday, August 28, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Dennis Anderson officiated. Visitation was held prior to the services on Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Charles Kimble went to be with his Heavenly Father and Savior on August 24, 2017, at 1:30 PM in Teague Texas with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 26, 1937 in Coon, Louisiana. He served his country both in the United States Air Force and the United States Marines and met the love of his life while stationed at Ellington Air Field in Houston. He was married May 3, 1956. Mr. Kimble was saved on in July of 1960 and surrendered to preach in August of that same year. Throughout the years he has served as pastor in Crosby, Henderson, Arcola, Franklin, LA, Hempstead, Stafford and Teague with a stint as an evangelist. He was preceded in death by his Father, Jake Kimble and his mother Annie Lee Dozier; loving son-in-law, Paul Garrett; and grandson, Michael Shaun Minter. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Irene Kimble; son, Franklin Joseph Kimble and wife Kris, daughter, Kim Marie Garrett; son Charles Vince Kimble and his wife Teri; son, John Paul Kimble and his wife Michelle; his adopted daughter, Dianne Hollingshed; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great- grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
