CHARLENE LITTLE

Graveside services for Charlene Little, 78, were held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, at Dew Cemetery. Brother Carl Clark officiated.

Mrs. Little passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin.

Charlene was born on July 11, 1943, in Lanely to parents, Roy and Hazel Dawson. She moved around but always returned to the Dew and Lanely area. Charlene married Joseph Little on June 11, 1958, and they shared more than 63 years together. She loved to read, cook, travel and work in her flower beds; she stayed busy. Mrs. Little was a dedicated homemaker to her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved to take care of and spend time with her family. She was a member of Lanely Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Little of Dew; two daughters, Teresa Rowell and husband Tracy of Dew and Tammy Atchley of Dew; seven grandchildren, Joey Rowell, Rusty Rowell, Mindi Wooley, Shelby Wooley, Jordan Witcher, Hayden Hardwick, and Colt Hardwick; three great-grandchildren, Evie Rowell, Sophia Rowell, and Lily Rowell; four ‘bonus” grandchildren, Cally Hardwick, Jordan Atchley, Savannah Witcher, and Dustin Witcher; one sister, Dorothy Nance; one brother, Billy Dawson and wife Faye; cousins, Edna Rutherford, and Emma Copeland; and special friend, Glenda Simpson.

Mrs. Little was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Roy Dawson; and sister, Imogene Ferguson.
