Artie Wylie Emmons

Graveside services for Artie Wylie Emmons, 98, took place Tuesday, Dec. 4 at Driver’s Cemetery near Teague. Rev. Richard Gillet officiated the service.

There was no visitation.

Ms. Emmons passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2018 in Corsicana.  

Artie was born Jan. 1, 1920 in Teague to John and Gracie Wylie. She was a lifelong resident of the Clay Hill community. Ms. Emmons was a member of First Baptist Church of Teague. For several years she was a dedicated volunteer at the Senior Citizens Center in Teague.

She is survived by one son, John DeWitt Terry of Priest River, Idaho; five granddaughters, Lisa Brenek of Corsicana, Jennifer Worsham of Corsicana, Lindy Hatcher of Montana, Julie Terry Caynor of Seattle, Wash., Tracy Licklider of Missouri; one grandson, John Terry of Seattle, Wash.; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Ms. Emmons was preceded in death by her first husband, Millard Terry; her second husband, Richard Emmons; and one son, Millard S. (Pete) Terry.
