Anne Parten Ham

Funeral services for Anne Parten Ham, 85, took place Friday, July 5, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.

Dr. Steven Diaz and Rev. Richard Gillet officiated. Interment followed the services at Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation was Friday at

the funeral home.

Mrs. Ham passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at her residence near Teague.

Anne Parten Ham was born on January 31, 1934, in Groesbeck and graduated from Groesbeck High School with the class of 1951.

She worked as a teacher’s aide for Booker T. Washington in Teague and in the Dallas I.S.D. for many years. Anne married Charles Ham on June 1, 1981 and shared over thirty-eight years of marriage together.

She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and traveling with her husband and friends on numerous occasions in their R. V. Mrs. Ham was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Teague.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Ham of Teague; two daughters, Kathy Bagby and husband Brian of Plano and Amy Spindle and husband Marvin of Spring; four grandchildren, Camille Hurley and husband Mark of Auckland, New Zealand, Max Bagby of Denver, Colo, Emily Spindle and Allison Spindle both of Spring; other relatives and friends.

Her first husband, John H. Phillips, and her parents, G. W. and Rowena Parten, preceded Mrs. Ham in death.
