Ann M. Wilson
Funeral services for Ann M. Wilson, 78, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Brother Bubba Rutherford will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with the family present at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wilson passed away on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at the Freestone Medical Center in Fairfield.
She was born in Mexia on April 28, 1943. Ann married Bob Wilson on Nov. 28, 1960, and shared over 38 years of marriage together until being separated by his death on April 5, 1999. Mrs. Wilson was a dedicated homemaker for her husband and children and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, playing lotto scratchoffs, and taking gambling trips to Shreveport, as well as traveling anywhere. She also loved to watch old westerns on TV, work puzzles and had a collection of almost 800 sets of salt-andpepper shakers. Mrs. Wilson was a Baptist by faith.
She is survived by four daughters, Debra Hayes, Cathy Grissam and husband Robert, Teresa Wilson, and Robbye Wright, all of Teague; one son, Bobby Wilson and wife Sanya of Trinity; nine grandchildren, Jimmie Hayes Jr. and wife Ashley, Jesse Hayes, Robynn “Sis” Cruz and husband Jack, Tyler Harris and fiancé Cydnei, Austin Harris and wife Amber; Bryan Harris, Meghan Wilson, Alexis Wilson, Dallas Wilson and fiancé Harley; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Connie Pyle of Houston; one sister-in-law, Dawn Richardson of Teague; two special nieces, Kasi Erwin and Trinity Erwin; and special family friend, Don Berry.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Wilson; her parents, Gaston Cameron and L.C. and Marie Richardson; three brothers, Charles Cameron, Doyle Cameron, and Danny Richardson; one sister, Carol Lewis; one grandson, Robert Shane Grissam; and her beloved dog, “Sassy Mae.”
