The Lord is my strength
Katy and I enjoyed our three day weekend so much. It was much needed and we got to rest a lot.
Fairfield will be a busy place the next couple of weekends. The Show of Wheels will be held in Fairfield this weekend. Fairfield’s homecoming is next weekend as well.
Santa will be making his appearance in Fairfield on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the green barn for Breakfast with Santa. The event will be taking place from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. so make plans to attend in your pajamas.
This week’s Bible verse is Psalm 28:7. It says, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.”
So often in life we get stressed out with a variety of different things. Our plate could be overloaded at work. Our bank accounts may be low and we don’t know how we are going to pay a bill. Our health or the health of a loved one may be declining.
There will be troubles and heartaches in this world that we live in. However, we must trust in the Lord because he will provide what we need. As I have said multiple times and what the Lord keeps showing me is that it really doesn’t matter what worldly possessions we have because in the long run they are just going to be left sitting where they are when we pass away from this earth.
What truly matters is our relationship with Jesus Christ. Yes, I know our schedules are crazy busy, but we must make it a priority to build our relationship with Jesus daily. We must share Jesus and his love with others that are in our life. That is our purpose in life.
My prayer for us this week is that we will trust in the Lord always because he is our strength. Until next week, make Him famous in all that you do!
