HUFFING AND PUFFING
Teague’s male students faced off in a Powder Puff Volleyball Tournament, coached by some of the Lady Lion volleyball team players Thursday, April 22.
Starting off the tournament, Teague’s two freshman teams, “Baby Got Back” and “Unnamed,” faced off to determine who would battle “The Seniors.” “Baby Got Back” lost their first set by three points, but still had a chance as each match winner was determined by winning best two-out-of-three. Performing a bit better,”Baby Got Back” won the second set, earning a chance to win. A back-and-forth ensued, but “Baby Got Back” appeared to be playing much better as a team. Sadly, a false confidence was born, and “Unnamed” won the match.
Next up the sophomore teams, “Pink Panthers” and “Da Team,” battled it out. The “Pink Panthers” showed early domination, landing some wild spikes and surprisingly playing well together as a team. The boys must have learned a thing or two from their coaches, Adelina James and Anna Boone. Winning the first game, “Pink Panthers” attempted to quickly shut down “Da Team’s” chance of winning, but miraculously, “Da Team” held on to a tie, winning the set with an extra point. Playing fiercely again for the third set, the “Pink Panthers” took the win.
