Four arrested on drug charges early Tuesday

In the very early hours on Tuesday, March 30, deputies conducted a traffic stop on FCR 477 in Dew. When deputies exited their patrol unit to make contact with the driver of the vehicle, the driver took off in an attempt to get away from them.

After a brief pursuit, deputies were able to get the driver of the vehicle to pull over and he was quickly taken into custody. During a search of the vehicle, deputies located methamphetamine and marijuana on all four occupants of the vehicle.

The four subjects, two males and two females, were taken into custody and booked into the Freestone County Jail. The driver was the winner of an evading charge in addition to his drug charge.
