THS senior Holmes looks to return with teaching credentials

A member of the Teague High School 2020 senior class, Megan Holmes is excited to graduate and walk across the stage come May 29.

After graduation, Holmes plans to attend Stephen F. Austin State University and major in Elementary Education. One day, she hopes to come back to Teague to teach in the town that she grew up in.

“The teacher that inspired me to become a teacher is Mrs. Amanda Smith. She is always encouraging to her students and pushes them to be their best,” Holmes said. “I know I would not be the woman I am today with her. I want to be an influence to kids like she was for me.”
