Second-half surge pushes Fairfield to 5-1

After battling through two sluggish quarters, the Fairfield Eagles outscored Madisonville 24-7 in the second half to secure a 31-15 victory.
The Eagles are now 2-0 in district play, and are 5-1 on the season.
Another huge game in the ground for quarterback Justin Abram made the difference in the second-half surge, with the senior scoring three rushing touchdowns in the half. He finished with 192 yards on 23 carries, along with the three scores.
