Teague sales tax payments up 4.46 percent
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $759 million in local sales tax allocations for July, 11.6 percent more than in July 2017. These allocations are based on sales made in May by businesses that report tax monthly.
Cities across the state, on average, saw a 7.9 percent increase year-to-date change; counties saw a 14.5 percent increase YTD; transit systems had an increase of 6.7 percent YTD; and special purpose taxing districts saw an increase of 8.7 percent YTD.
