FC annual livestock show brings in $505K
The weather cooperated this year for the annual livestock sale held Saturday for Freestone County youth and buyers who came to support them. Gross purchases totaled $385,425 with an additional $120,000 in addons for the event, bringing the days total to $505,425.
Logan Todd once again sold his grand champion market steer – weighing in at 1,317 pounds – to NIP Ranch for $14,500.
NIP Ranch is owned by Nadine and Ivy Phillips, of Fairfield. The ranch also purchased his steer last year for about the same price. Todd is a junior at Fairfield High School and a member of Fairfield FFA.
