Teen races 163 mph to avoid a ticket
A Fairfield teen led officers on a high-speed chase on a white 2001 Honda CBR 600 – with speeds reaching 163 mph – before a crash took the suspect down and ended with him in Freestone County Jail.
Nineteen-year-old Jordan Briggs was arrested by Freestone County Sheriff’s Lt. Robert Willis at around 4 p.m. Friday, March 30, after leading deputies through a residential neighborhood, up and down service roads, and through traffic.
Once arrested, the teen allegedly told Willis he “did not stop because he didn’t want a ticket.” Briggs was arrested for evading arrest with vehicle and is being held on $10,000 bail.
