One Sunday after the preacher finished a sermon on heaven, one parishioner stopped him with advice. “Brother Jones when you preach about heaven why don’t you smile, put a glow on your face and look joyously upward. Also, when you preach about hell, it’s all right to look normal.”
That’s almost where we are today. Upon arising and feeling good about the day, that attitude is destroyed by turning on the news and seeing people screaming out the world is coming to an end.
