“Oooh”s and “Ahhh”s could be heard when the Solar Eclipse hit its totality at 1:41 p.m. in Freestone County on Monday, April 8. The entire event was amazing to watch, but the two minutes and 21 seconds of totality was an amazing sight for all to experience.
Freestone County Commissioners Court held a public hearing on its intent to enter into a tax abatement with Buffalo Spring Solar; and the court subsequently approved the tax abatement with that company.
The Teague ISD board of trustees approved the 20242025 academic calendar at the March 26 school board meeting. The first day of school is set for Wednesday, Aug. 14. Staff development days for teachers will be Aug. 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, and 13.
