Yarbrough is Teague ISD police chief
When Teague ISD Superintendent Chris Skinner and the school board began brainstorming about organizing a police department at the school, they wisely invested their time and tax money by selecting Clarence D. Yarbrough as its first police chief.
Probably no one would disagree that Yarbrough is a unique person in many ways. He is popular with students, parents, teachers and administrators. He is perceptive and is inquiring; yet, he is not judgmental.
His obvious purpose in his position is to help all people and does not appear to play the role “I’m going to get you.” He, however, knows the law, enforces it, and never tries to sidestep it. He seems to like to help others in various ways, perhaps to prevent problems or to resolve them. Although he is fair and caring, he is firm and consistent in his actions and making decisions.
