Where you’re always one of the guys

Rebecca Smith has been around and come from a long line of contractors, construction professionals and carpenters all her life. She now brings that knowledge to Teague through Guys Lumber.

Rebecca bought Carroll Lumber in April 2020 and is in the process of making it just what the community needs.

“Community is the word the Lord planted in my mind,” Rebecca said. “We pride ourselves on customer service and this is our mission now.”

A sheen of tears came into her eyes as she recounted how she had become the owner of three hardware stores since 2014 and two during a pandemic.

“I must have been outside my mind,” she stated with a smile. “Who does that? Who takes on two new businesses when the country is in such upheaval?”
