UIL cancels sports

Though UIL recently canceled all sporting competitions, practices and rehearsals have been left at the coaches’ discretion. Coaches can utilize the time to build player skills or protect players that could be susceptible to contracting or spreading the COVID-19 virus. Competitions are cancelled until March 27, with the schedule for missed games to be determined.

The Lady Lions had a strong season, going 16-14 and 9-3 in district. The team lost against Little River Academy in Bi-District playoffs.

Recently, Teague Basketball athletes received Academic All-District Team awards, including Drew Satterwhite, Jarrett Bodine, Nemier Herod, David Matthews and Tyrion Brooks.
