Tournament brings funds in memory of local, for students
The Jay Alderman Memorial 42 Tournament was held at Teague First Baptist Church in late February. The tourney has been hosted each year in Jay’s memory for the last 12 years. An evening of brisket, dominoes fellowship and fun was guaranteed throughout, in which funds were raised for local students in the name of Alderman.
A total of 22 teams played throughout, with more coming to purchase baked goods in support. A good crowd attending the benefit, filling tables and causing some patrons to hang out amongst them on the walls.
