Signs, cards and letters from students filled the room of the Teague ISD School Board meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 21, for School Board Appreciation Month. Members of the TISD School Board are President Jeff Gonzales, Vice-President Lovie White, Secretary Mary Clary-Smith, Trustee Brian Bowers, Trustee Jason Hullum, Trustee Brett Myers, and Trustee Wayne Williams.
Carolyn Nanny was honored as the Teague ISD Employee of the Month for January. Nanny is a Paraprofessional at Teague Elementary. Kathy Hull, a fourthgrade teacher at Teague Elementary, was honored as the Teague ISD Teacher of the Month for January.
Teague ISD Students of the Month for the month of January included THS student Nayeli Bernal, Lion Academy student Summer Story, TJH student Aspyn Perry, and TES student Bryleigh Welch. Layni Keenum was honored for being the Student of the Month for the month of December for the Lion Academy. The students were honored with a certificate by TISD Superintendent Chris Skinner and their principal.
