Teague sees a 41.02 percent increase in sales tax revenue

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $842.7 million in local sales tax allocations for August, 8.2 percent more than in August 2017. These allocations are based on sales made in June by businesses that report tax monthly, and sales made in April, May and June by quarterly filers.

In Freestone County, Teague and Wortham saw a big jump in sales tax revenue compared to last month. Teague generated 41.02 percent more than this month last year, in the amount of $59,924.22. Last month revenue paid to Teague was $39,784.60.
